About Our Clubs
ASD Clubs was specifically designed by speech language pathologists for autistic tweens and teens ages 11-14. Directors Sarah and Amy have found that as the demand for increased social interaction occurs during these crucial middle school years, the number of programs to facilitate and encourage social interactions for children this age is lacking.
ASD Clubs looks to ensure that each member of a given club joins based on a genuine interest in the content. Participation in groups based on a shared interest ultimately forms relationships with others in the group that have the potential to extend even beyond the club.
Club members then plan events, execute ideas, manage time, and will be responsible for bringing necessary items, resulting in motivating and meaningful opportunities to target executive functioning skills both in the clinic and in real world settings.
